A secret garden nestled in the heart of the former carpet factory

In central Kidderminster lies many disused carpet factories, a sad passing of an industrial age. Simply Limitless has worked tirelessly to renovate the large area bit by bit. Within its walls lies an old factory yard that was abandoned for many years. Following a successful bid from Greggs Foundations Environmental Grant an idea to create a beautiful organic vegetable garden was born. Over a year the area was cut back and cleared all by the kind volunteers of the charity - no mean feat in such an enclosed space! Since then we have redeveloped a second area of our garden to create a wonderful sensory space, which we opened in September 2019.

Following SImply Limitless' move in 2023 we have moved to a new location in Wolverley - watch this space for more details for 2023.

Highly recommend @pickedatdawn plug plants - these Iceland poppies were bought in an autumn release and look super happy in the polytunnel. I will be buying a few more goodies in March when she next releases a few more varieties 😊

Last year in our original Limitless Garden we ran a popular 8 week Growing Confidence small space gardening course. It was great fun and we vowed to do it again once our new garden is established. In early June 2024 we hope to do this again and I can’t wait 😊😊#gardeningcourse

Flowers 2024 growing away gently in the poly and there they will stay through the winter. I am glad I sowed these early October even though I always seem to lose a few to damping off. I have done almost nothing with them throughout November and December but still they patiently grow. Tremendously soothing isn’t it ? 😊#seedlngs #britishflowers

Lovely to be involved with our schools Christmas tree in Worcester Cathedral yesterday- hand printed baubles by the students and dried flowers and grasses all from the plot which is based at the school. My own garden is very tiny but I still grow a fair few flowers for cutting crammed in all sorts of spaces - this shelf on the side of the house has pelargoniums, arcotis, dianthus and a small tray of salad leaves - I have been picking from all these for weeks for bedside posies and jam jars - not much space does not mean you can’t grow cut flowers 😊
