Following it's success over previous holidays the Lunch project will be continued over Easter 2013 hols Tues 2nd, wed 3rd, thurs 4th April. And the second week is Monday 8th, tues 9th & wed 10th April. To book your child's free meal call Simply Limitless today!
WHAT IS THE LUNCH PROJECT?
In the Wyre Forest, 19% of children live in poverty. During term-time these children are able to benefit from free school meals. However, the holidays mean many of these children may not get a nutritious meal for that time, over the summer that's 6 weeks!
That is clearly unacceptable so by linking with a local primary school to provide children who would normally receive free school meals, a healthy cooked meal Monday to Thursday over the holidays.
This is a national initiative called LUNCH, which has already been run successfully in towns across Great Britain. We already have a team of volunteers ready and willing to help prepare, cook and serve meals for the children.
Local businesses and dignitaries are kindly offering to help by donating. It will have a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
